There is a HUGE range of badges to work towards including activity badges and challenge awards.
Activity badges
Many of the badges available are activity badges, which allow Cub Scouts to
show their progress in existing pursuits, but also to try all kinds of new things and form new interests.
Some activity badges are covered during pack activities but you can achieve others in your own time. We have created a series of badge information sheets for the most popular badges to do at home.
Follow this link to the Scout Association web pages for full information on activity badges.
Staged Activity Badges
These give Cub Scouts the chance to try something new or get better at something they already know. Cub Scouts can choose the right stage for their skills rather than age. With staged activities Cub Scouts get to try the same challenges as Beavers, Scouts and Explorers. They can jump ahead to a higher stage if they are ready.

Challenge awards
Gaining a challenge badge involves accomplishing a number of more ambitious tasks within the Pack or community. There are several challenge badges across a number of themes, from the physical and outdoorsy to challenges dealing with the local community or issues connected with the Scouting world.

Personal Challenge Badge
We will offer many opportunities within the cub programme to achieve all of the Challenge Badges. The Personal Challenge badge involves working on two challenges over at least a 4 week period outside of cubs. The challenges must be agreed with your Cub Leaders.
